Recently, the smelting and rolling plant of Jiugang Hongxing Co., LTD successfully rolled 12×2500mm double-phase stainless steel 2205, which has set a new record for the width of double-phase stainless steel rolled in the mid-plate production line.
It is reported that due to the thin thickness and large width of the product, resulting in large rolling risk, difficult operation. Technicians start from the raw material, design the raw material specification size and rolling schedule according to the rolling number, make full use of the rolling number as far as possible, distribute the rolling number reasonably, and ensure the rolling success. In addition, because duplex stainless steel is sensitive to temperature changes during rolling, in order to avoid the increase of rolling difficulties after temperature reduction, the cooling water of the roller is closed in advance, and the cooling water pressure of the roller is appropriately reduced to reduce the temperature loss of the steel plate, so as to ensure smooth rolling.
Finally, the plant rolled out 12×2500mm duplex stainless steel more than 40 tons, for the subsequent 10×2500mm limit product development laid a foundation.
