In December, the volume of domestic stainless steel exports to India was about 32,000 tons, an increase of 2 million tons from the previous month, an increase of 7.2%; an increase of 23,000 tons, an increase of 256.3% year-on-year. So far, the volume of exports to India has achieved a five-month continuous increase, with a cumulative increase of 19,700 tons, an increase of 158.75%.
In recent years, in order to protect the development of local steel companies, India has imposed anti-dumping duties on imported stainless steel.
Therefore, the total amount of domestic stainless steel exports to India has shown a downward trend.
From January to December 2020, domestic stainless steel exports to India amounted to approximately 205,500 tons, an increase of 2,000 tons or 0.9% year-on-year.
