Stainless steel seamless pipes are usually called industrial pipes, which are cold-rolled or cold-drawn processes, and the raw material is round steel.

It is a round bar that is pierced into a tube blank, and then the tube blank is cold-rolled or cold-drawn one after another.

Seamless steel pipes are mainly industrial steel pipes. Because they are industrial pipes, the surface requirements are not strict, and there will be less obvious spots.

Stainless steel welded pipes are widely used, mainly in the fields of decoration, landscape garden engineering, furniture products, etc.

Stainless steel welded pipe and seamless pipe have the following differences:

1) Appearance difference

The most direct difference between stainless steel welded pipe and seamless pipe is the appearance.

The length of the seamless pipe is basically inconsistent, while the length of the stainless steel welded pipe is basically fixed.

The surface of stainless steel welded pipe is basically mirror, while stainless steel seamless pipe is gray-white.

2) Process difference

Stainless steel welded pipes, commonly used steel or steel strips are welded and welded after being crimped by a unit and a mold.
The production process of welded steel pipe is simple, the production efficiency is high, the variety and specifications are many, and the equipment investment is low, but the general strength is lower than that of seamless steel pipe.

Stainless steel seamless pipe is a long strip of steel with a hollow section and no joints around it.

The thicker the wall thickness of the product, the more economical and practical it is, and the thinner the wall thickness, the higher the processing cost.The process of the product determines its limited performance.

The round tube blank is used as the raw material for perforation, and it is made by the production process of cold rolling, cold drawing or hot extrusion, and there is no welding point on the tube.

3) Performance difference

Generally, the precision of seamless steel pipe is low, and it reflects its superiority in terms of high pressure, high strength, and mechanical structural materials.

Seamless pipes are much higher than welded pipes in terms of corrosion resistance and pressure and high temperature resistance.

With the improvement of the welding pipe manufacturing process, the mechanical properties and mechanical properties are gradually approaching the seamless pipe.

When used as decorative pipes, product pipes, and prop pipes, it is generally required to have a good surface effect, and stainless steel welded pipes are usually used.

For general lower pressure fluid transportation, such as transportation of water, oil, gas, air, and low-pressure systems such as heating hot water or steam, stainless steel welded pipes are usually selected.

Stainless steel seamless pipes should be used for pipelines used to transport fluids in industrial engineering and large-scale equipment, as well as for power plants and nuclear power plant boilers that require high temperature, high pressure and high strength.

Stainless steel welded pipes are generally used for liquid transport below 0.8MPa, and seamless pipes can be used to withstand liquid transport above 0.8MPa.

4) Price difference

The production process of seamless pipe is more complicated, and its price is more expensive than that of welded pipe.
