
According to figures released by the General Administration of Customs on July 14, the value of China’s exports and imports of goods in the first half of the year was 14.24 trillion yuan, down 3.2% from a year earlier and 1.7% from the previous five months.Exports totaled 7.71 trillion yuan, down 3%.Imports were 6.53 trillion yuan, down 3.3%.Imports and exports in the first half were better than expected, with both exports and imports starting to show positive growth in June.
