How to Distinguish Stainless Steel Materials for Three Methods?

1. Using magnet identification, chromium stainless steel is very magnetic and can be attracted by magnets in any state, while chromium-nickel stainless steel is not magnetic when annealed, and will become magnetic after cooling construction, while high manganese steel contains a lot of fierceness. High, so there is no magnetism. This identification method is convenient and requires no supplies.

2. From the color identification, there is a difference in the appearance of the stainless steel that is cleaned by acid. For example, the color of chromium-nickel stainless steel is silvery-white, and the color of chromium stainless steel is off-white. The outer color of the stainless steel is brown-white for chrome-nickel steel, brown-black for chrome steel, and black for chrome-manganese-nitrogen.

3. Use copper sulfate to identify, first remove the oxide layer on the outer layer of stainless steel, and then drip water on it. If it is scrubbed with copper sulfate, the stainless steel will turn purple after scrubbing, which proves that it is high manganese. Steel, with magnetism, is ordinary steel or low alloy steel.
