According to reports, the Indian Ministry of Taxation has imposed a temporary countervailing duty (CVD) on stainless steel flat products imported from Indonesia, with a tax rate between 22.31% and 24.83%.
The validity period of this temporary countervailing duty is four months from the date of notification on October 9, 2020.
According to the tax bureau’s notice, this temporary countervailing duty does not apply to certain products, such as stainless steel blades used in the production of razors and coin blanks, flat stainless steel with a thickness of more than 80 mm and a width of more than 1.650 mm.
